A few more days…

Tall ornamental grasses growing beside a white picket fence

I woke up on my pullout couch bed to a cup of coffee on my makeshift night stand because my real night stand is packed in one of four giant orange boxes adorning my driveway.

Denny called me as he was leaving the house for work today. This is his last week at the hospital in Tallahassee. We talked through what feels like an impossible to-do list, and decided that all furniture and boxes still in the back half of the house need to be put into the orange boxes today.

So, I walked through the rooms, 1 is done. 3 are not.

Sheesh.

So, today, I moved furniture to the front of the house for after Denny gets home.

Around 6 pm, we will open the orange boxes and continue to load them. We will do that until the sun sets, then lock them back up again until tomorrow.

Tomorrow, while Denny’s at work, I will finish cleaning up the front yard. Bagging leaves, cleaning out gardens, adding a plant here or there, trim other plants that I have let grow because I love them. But, our house selling friend says it’s better to trim them all down. So, down they go.

Then on to the side yard on Thursday.

Friday is the back yard and the boxes go.

Saturday is the bullet list from our agent…and finishing the deck repairs.

Sunday…we move. Or…Monday if it rains again…we will see.

Then, we drive 6 hours…and sleep.

Almost there…
