I have been working as a professional theatre-maker for over 25 years. My experience includes directing, lighting, projection design, and stage and production management in theatre, dance, and music. I was the founding director of The Berman Center for the Performing Arts from 2011 – 2019 in West Bloomfield, Michigan. I have also been the Artistic Director of The Historic Gem & Century Theatres, the Deputy Director of The Matrix Theatre Company in Detroit, Michigan, the resident production stage manager and designer for The Second City Detroit, the resident lighting designer for the Jewish Ensemble Theatre in Michigan, as well as a lighting designer and production manager for several regional and national touring musicals, concerts, and dance shows. However, I am most proud of the internship and summer theatre programs I was part of creating, which still do the most important work: inspire young people through the arts.
